Signing, Ignatz, and Owly: Book 4!

This Sunday, Nov. 5th, I’ll be doing a signing at Atlanta’s own Criminal Records in Little Five Points from 3pm to 6pm. I’ll be selling artwork, doing sketches, and we’ll have books, shirts, posters, and plushies for sale, so come on down and say hi!

SPX was absolutely incredible! It was wonderful to see all of our old friends, as well as meeting lots of new ones. Thank you all for your support, it really means the world to us. The energy at this show is addictive and I already can’t wait for next year! And, to top it all off, Owlyand I were also incredibly honored to receive an Ignatz Award for Outstanding Series. I’m just awed by it all… I never imagined everyone would be so accepting of me and little Owly. Thank you all so very much. ^,^

I’m also pleased to announce that the fourth volume in the Owly series will be titled, Owly: A Time To Be Brave. This one is about a new visitor to the forest who is also misunderstood because of how he looks. But things aren’t always what they seem, and everyone soon finds out that the power of friendship can fix just about anything. I’m really excited about this story and it’ll be out in April of 2007, just in time for Free Comic Book Day

SPX bound!

Chigago, Dragon*Con, and Baltimore were absolutely amazing! Thanks to everybody who came out and showed their support and a special thank you for all of the kind emails and wonderful letters I’ve recieved. Your messages and well-wishes warm my heart and I’ll respond to everyone as soon as I can. :)

Right now I’m home and working hard on Owly Volume 4, but… before I have to hide away and lock myself in my studio for the winter I’m taking a little break to go to SPX! This is one of my favoritest shows ever and this year it’s solidly in the fall (my favorite time of year) so it’s doubly awesome! We’ll have original Owly artwork for sale and lots Owly plushies with us (along with a very limited number of hand-made scarves from my friend Elizabeth to keep them warm)!

My friends from Wide Awake will be there with their new anthology, as will AdHouse, The Playground Ghosts, and of course, the Top Shelf crew. See you at the show! :)
