New Site & Free Comic Book Day 2007!

Hey everybody! If you’re wondering where I’ve been, I’ve been busy on Owly, A Time to be Brave, and, as you can see, my site has gotten a complete overhaul! I basically started over from scratch to make the site easier to navigate, easier to update, and easier to house all kinds of new content including my Store, lots more Fan Art, a F.A.Q. section and, more importantly, longer entries like this one. :) Feel free to look around and check out all the new sections! Also, now that I have a little space to spread out, you can expect more in-depth entries like this one. And you can comment on the entries if you’d like! I figure I’ll try the feature out and see what happens. All feedback is greatly appreciated! :)

I’m currently hard at work on the Free Comic Book Day comic for this year. The book is all penciled out and will be done soon! You can see the cover above, but hey, seeing as how I have all of this space thanks to the new site, I thought I’d share the cover creation process with everybody! :)

Savannah

This Saturday, November 18th, Owly and I will be at The Savannah Children’s Book Festival from 10am to 4pm at Forsyth Park in wonderfully scenic & historic, Savannah, Georgia!

Live Oak Public Libraries is hosting dozens of children’s book authors and illustrators from around the country in a celebration of some of the best in fiction and non-fiction for the young at heart and they asked me to come and join them! Last year’s event attracted more than 8,000 children and parents, and festival organizers promise even more spectacular offerings this year! Everybody involved with this event has been so great and I’m so excited! See you all at the festival!!! :D
