Little Owly’s in JEOPARDY … In a good way! :)

As part of their annual Kids Week, (this week, July 4th-8th) the popular quiz show Jeopardy! is always looking to stay in touch with what kids love by preparing fun and challenging clues for the young geniuses competing on the show. And this summer, Kids Week 2011 features Owly as a clue!

This latest appearance comes during a big year for Owly, the kind-hearted little owl whose adventures with his best friend Wormy form the basis of their beloved series, published by Top Shelf Productions. The newest Owly book is the little guy’s first adventure in full color, a 40-page hardcover picture book titled Owly & Wormy: Friends All Aflutter! Coming up next is the 6th full-length Owly graphic novel, A Fishy Situation— set to be published at the end of 2011.

This isn’t the first time a Top Shelf book has been a Jeopardy! clue – a February 2010 episode referred to The Surrogates by my good friends Robert Venditti & Brett Weldele! Winning that clue helped contestant James Hill conquer the episode with over $25,000 — let’s hope Owly is similarly lucky for the players on July 6th! Tune in then to find out!
