Owly’s first Animated Adventure!!

I’m incredibly proud to announce that thanks to our new friends at Sprite Animation Studios, Owly (and Wormy!) will come to life in an animated short that will debut at the San Diego Comic-Con International on July 23-26!!!

The animated adventure is directed by the wonderful Moto Sakakibara and was storyboarded by yours truly! Over the past months, we’ve worked very closely to make sure Owly was faithfully translated to 3D.

Every little detail was important to them, and the end result blows me away! They’ve created an animation that captures the pure essence of Owly in ways I never thought possible. It’s amazing to see Owly and Wormy come to life like this. The level of artistry at Sprite Animation Studios is incredible!

I’ve had to keep this a secret for a long time and I’m so excited to finally announce it! I can’t wait for everybody to see Owly and Wormy in action! It’s absolutely adorable and I guarantee you’re gonna love it! :D

This is great! My daughter Diana (soon to be 6) is having an OWLY birthday party. She just asked me today if there was an Owly movie. I just showed her this site and she said,”Wow it came out just in time!” Good luck! We can’t wait to get in line for the DVD as well!

After a really bad day, I remembered today was the release date for the short! That was appx. 2 minutes that turned the whole day around. Thank you Andy and Sprite for a beautiful video…I hope Owly can come to life in other adventures SOON!

Just watched it! Literally perfect- totally captures the essence of Owly and Wormy! Well done Andy and well done Sprite- maybe we’ll see a longer form video or maybe an adaptation of one of Owly’s books? KUDOS!
