The brand new Owly comics are hot off the presses and that can only mean one thing… Free Comic Book Day is almost here! What am I talking about you ask? Well, in case you don’t know about it, Saturday, May 5th is a wonderfully joyous day! All you have to do is walk into any comic book store and you’ll get a selection of comic books for absolutely FREE! Don’t know where a comic book store is in your neighborhood? No problem! Just click here and then mark your calendar because you won’t wanna miss the brand new Owly story called “Helping Hands” along with a backup story from the wonderful Korgi!
This year I’ll be signing and sketching in comics at Strange Adventures in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada! I’ll be writing more about that as the day gets closer! It’s going to be an amazing time! I can’t wait! :D

This upcoming Saturday (April 7th), in artistically beautiful Athens, Georgia, U.S.A., is the Southeast’s Greatest Mini-Comix and Zine show and all around good comics time known as FLUKE! :D
Owly and I will be there along with the famous Rob from Top Shelf and my just-as-good-of-friends (though they really could try to get more movies optioned… I keed!) from Wide Awake Press! In fact, WAPPIE Justin Gammon created this amazing poster you see here and you’ll be able to pick them up at the show! And if you look closely you might just spot a familiar face in the wagon! ;)
This show has always been a favorite of mine because it’s just so comfy and totally relaxed. You won’t find any spandex here, just cartoonists, writers, artists, and zine-sters hanging out, swapping stories, and selling their wares! But you don’t haveta’ take my word for it, you can totally see what it’s like by looking at pictures from Fluke 2004 and Fluke 2006!
The show is 12-6pm on Saturday and admission is only $5.00 so come on down and say hi! Hope to see you there! :)
