Owly and I are on our way back to the awesome Anthrocon in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Last year we were very humbled to be the Guests of Honor along with the amazing Mr. Peter S. Beagle and we had an absolutely amazing time. The energy and excitement at this show is so amazing that we can’t wait to go back! We’ll be there on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (June 15th, 16th, and 17th) and, as always, I’ll be signing and selling books, shirts, prints, and all of the other Owly merchandise, as well as drawing custom color character drawings!
While we’re in Pittsburgh, on Saturday, after lunch, around 1:00 pm, I’ll be taking a break from Anthrocon and doing a presentation and signing around the corner at the incredible Toonseum! If you’ve never heard of the Toonseum, it’s incredible and you have got to check it out!
After we get back from Pennsylvania we’re back on the road and headed to the Heroes Con in Charlotte, North Carolina!!! Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (June 22nd, 23rd, and 24th) we’ll be hanging out in Indie Island and it’s gonna be awesome! We hope we see you there!!! :)

Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that affects one in every 2,500 births. 115 babies are born with this genetic disorder each day. NF is more common than Cystic Fibrosis, Muscular Dystrophy, and Huntington’s Disease combined.
It’s an unpredictable disease that causes tumors to form on the nerves. Depending on their location, these tumors can cause disfigurement, dysfunction, deafness or blindness. In the wrong place they can be fatal. If that weren’t enough, NF can also cause learning disabilities, seizures, bone deformity, and cancer. Despite the many researchers studying this devastating condition, there is still no cure, and treatments are largely inadequate.
I lost my cousin, Kathleen to NF. She was a kind and lovely soul and I will do anything I can to help others affected with this horrible disease.
As part of NF Awareness Month, I painted two watercolor Owly doodles that will be auctioned on eBay from May 10th to May 20th.

100% of the funds raised will benefit NF, Inc., an organization dedicated to providing support to individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis by providing education, advocacy, coalitions, research for treatments, and a cure.
