Just taking a moment to reflect on all of the things we’re thankful for.. For love and understanding, for moms and hugs and little friends, for flapping wings, and attentive wagging tails… For all of the people that take care of us keep us going and especially for all the Owly fans! Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Halloween is one of my favorite times of year but I always seem to be super-busy working on books this time of year. But have no fear! Wonderful Owly fans from across the world have sent in some amazing Owly-themed Halloween pictures! Talented Megumi carved a complete Owly scene on a pumpkin and Super-fan Liz carved a pumpkin and even dressed up as Owly!
I’ve posted the pictures in the Owly fan-art section of the website but I’ve also gathered them all here in their own special section on Flickr for your viewing pleasure! Have a safe and happy Halloween everyone! ^,^

On Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday we’ll be among the Seventy thousand +plus Sci-fi and comics fans in downtown Atlanta, Georgia attending the always overwhelmingly entertaining convention known simply as, Dragon*Con! If you can find your way through the costumes and craziness to the Comic Artists Alley, be sure to stop by and say hi! We’ll be there with all the Owly graphic novels, all 4 seasonal prints, Owly buttons, Owly magnets, Owly hats the limited edition Owly Crafty Purse and the all new full-color Owly & Wormy Friends All Aflutter! :)
I’ll be stop next to my good friend Van Jensen and I’ll be on two panels this year! On Friday at 1:00 I’ll be on the panel Graphic Novels for Young Adults in room A707 in the Marriott, and on Saturday at 11:30am I’ll be on the panel: Roundtable: Comics in the Classroom in room Hanover F in the Hyatt.
We also have the last few copies of the limited edition Owly Indie Island Prints left from this year’s Heroes Convention but they won’t last long, so be sure to stop by the booth early if you want one of these wonderful prints. This print was a joy to create and much like Dragon*Con! is packed with costumed adventure!
On Sunday I’ll also be at the exciting Decatur Book Festival in lovely downtown Decatur, Georgia! There will be tons of authors there and I’ll be on a panel on Sunday called Creating the Magic! and it’s going to be great! So come on down and check out my panel and stick around for the show! With so many talented writers and illustrators attending, there’s sure to be something for everyone! After my panel I’ll be signing books and doing little sketches, so come on out and enjoy beautiful Decatur! It’s going to be awesome!
