Owly and I had a wicked awesome time in Boston on Free Comic Book Day! Thanks to all of the many fans that came from Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island for coming to see me! I got to see historic Boston , enjoy tons of wonderful vegetarian goodies and everyone was so super-nice and supportive and made me feel completely at home, especially my new ultra-cool friends from New England Comics! I can’t wait to see you all again! :D

But there’s no time to rest our little wings, Owly and I have been invited to be guests at the Emerald City Convention in Seattle, Washington this weekend (May 10th and 11th)! We’ve never been to the northwest United States so we absolutely cannot wait to see this amazing part of America! If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by the convention and say, “Hi!” We’ll be signing books and doing sketches at the Top Shelf table along with Jeffrey Brown (who did the awesome poster below) and Matt Kindt! There are also tons of other artists and guests attending the con! It’s gonna be awesome!
If you can’t make it to the convention, Owly and I will also be giving two presentations at local libraries! We’ll be at the Mountain Lake branch of the Sno-Isle Public Libraries from 1:00pm to 2:00pm and at the Lynwood branch 4:00pm to 5:00pm! We hope to see you there!!! :D

Happy 2008 everybody! I hope everybody had a wonderful holiday! I certainly did and let me just tell you, that as far as Owly goes, this year is going to be absolutely amazing! I’ll be posting more about that as well as my Owly Tour schedule for 2008 soon, But first, I have to tell you about a little birdie that came to visit us!
You may remember “Twitter” from last year, the little Rufous Hummingbird that stayed the winter in our yard, well… we have another little visitor this year. We’re incredibly honored to have a winter hummingbird staying with us so we called our friend, local Hummingbird expert Karen Theodorou from the Georgia Hummingbird Study Group to come out to take a look at her and to band our new little winter guest so that they can track the migration of these little jewels. Well, when she caught our little hummie we were surprised to find that she was already banded… and not only that, but our “new” little Rufous was our own little Twitter!
